The Jackson County Outreach Office is located in Murphysboro and provides Energy Assistance and Weatherization services to Jackson County residents. Housing services are also available through the Central Office. To learn more, please select a specific service.
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) starts today September 1, 2022. Please note offices are open for appointments only. No walk-ins will be accepted. Customers from Jackson, Perry, Randolph & Monroe Counties may call #618-443-5231 to schedule a call back or if the customer is disconnected or due to disconnect in 7 days, an in-person or telephone appointment may be scheduled. Please note we are experiencing very high call volume and call backs may take several weeks. Customers must provide copies of their gas and/or electric bills as well as copies of all household members' Social Security cards and 30-day proof of income. Please utilize local resources such as libraries, grocery stores and/or banks to have copies made when dropping off documentation. Applications may be printed from this website or picked up from the outside pickup box at each county outreach office.
